How do I choose a size?
Measure the neck where the accessory will sit, with space for two fingers. The studio uses provisional finished-circumference ranges of 18–30 cm for cats and 25–60 cm for dogs. These are sample design limits, not a fit guarantee. Check comfort and movement on the actual animal; do not use a size that feels tight or slips over the head.
Can I order a cord for my cat? Does it have a breakaway clasp?
Yes. Choose Cat in the studio for an 18–30 cm adjustable cord with up to six beads or charms. Cats and dogs use the same pricing and checkout. The sliding knots have no breakaway clasp and will not release if snagged. Only use the cat cord for brief, directly supervised wear; remove it before outdoor activity or leaving your cat unattended.
Can I attach a leash?
No. This is a decorative identification accessory, not a collar or restraint. Never attach a leash to the cord, tag or charms. Inspect for wear and loose components before use, supervise use, and remove if chewing or discomfort occurs.
Design & engraving
What can I personalize?
Choose cord colour, circumference, ordered beads and charms, tag shape, finish and connector, and two engraving faces. Each face supports a main line of up to 16 characters, a second line of up to 22 characters, a typeface, spacing style and an optional symbol.
Can I change the arrangement?
Yes. Drag the components in the arrangement tray to reorder them. Tap any component to select it; use the left and right buttons to move it, or remove it. Mirror copies the left half onto the right. Undo restores a previous design state.
Does the laser animation create a production file?
The animation is a digital preview only. The JSON export includes both engraving faces, typefaces, symbols, ordered components, a bill of materials and front/back SVG previews. Laser machine files are not generated yet: the adapter endpoint is reserved and requires calibrated dimensions and outlined fonts.
Will the real product look exactly like the preview?
The preview follows the supplied physical sample, but it is a digital approximation. Screen colour, natural wood grain, finish, engraving and component dimensions may vary. Material details and production tolerances must be approved before real orders.
Orders & delivery
What does a custom cord cost?
The adjustable cord and engraved tag cost CA$21.99. Each wood or coloured bead adds CA$2.00 and each enamel paw charm adds CA$3.99. Your choice of length, connector, tag shape or finish is included.
Can I buy QR space for my pet?
Add a full-back QR and private pet journal for CA$40.00 per tag, paid once. Includes 24 MiB per pet, up to 6 MiB per photo. No subscription.
How do I pay for a piece?
Review your design and enter your delivery address at checkout. When payments are open, continue to Stripe to review the final CAD total and pay.
Where do you ship, and when?
Standard delivery to Canada or the United States costs CA$10 per order. Applicable tax is calculated from the delivery address before payment.
What is the returns policy?
A returns policy for personalized pieces has not yet been published.
How can I ask about my order?

Care & saved designs
How should I care for the piece?
Until materials are confirmed, avoid soaking, harsh cleaners and prolonged moisture. Use a soft dry cloth and check components for wear. Final care instructions depend on the validated cord, wood finish and metal coating.
Where are my designs and orders saved?
Drafts and saved designs stay in this browser. Paid orders and shipping details are saved on the shop server for fulfillment.
Can I revisit a design?
Yes. Your latest draft is autosaved, and Save design adds it to Saved designs. Open any saved piece to continue editing. Cart items keep an independent copy, so editing a new draft does not silently change an existing item.
